A Meeting place for literary, philisophical and artistic intellectuals from around the world.  These people included masters such as Hemingway, Pascin, Gaugin, Man Ray, Picasso, Lenin, Henry Miller, Sinclair Lewis, Kalil Gibran, and more.  It would have been something to people-watch and eavesdrop at this place back then, no?  The Dôme is just one of many Parisian cafes which have affected culture around the world.
